Automotive

Automotive electronics place their demands on temperature-cycling tolerance, mechanical reliability under vibration, thermal dissipation for power devices, and traceable process control. The group's Huizhou base holds IATF 16949 certification with a registered scope covering the automotive electronics supply chain; body control, powertrain and lighting projects are organized for process control and record-keeping under that system. Specific stack-up, materials and acceptance criteria are confirmed through engineering review and in writing.

Engineering considerations

IATF 16949 process control
The Huizhou base operates to IATF 16949, certificate 120342-2012-AQ-RGC-IATF, with a registered scope covering the automotive electronics supply chain. PPAP, FAI and process-audit support are agreed at project kickoff, per the written quality plan.
Power and thermal construction
Powertrain and lighting modules commonly use heavy-copper and metal-core constructions to spread heat. Copper weights above 12 oz are available (16 oz and 18 oz already in production), and aluminum-base boards run to 1500 mm on the long edge. Thermal conductivity and construction are reviewed against actual device dissipation.
Compact interconnect and flexible construction
Where sensor and control modules are constrained by space or assembly routing, HDI or rigid-flex constructions apply. HDI supports 5+N+5 (anylayer), and rigid-flex is engineering-confirmed to a maximum of 20 layers. Bend radius and bend cycles are reviewed per construction.
Impedance and signal integrity
Vehicle buses and high-speed links need controlled impedance. Standard tolerance is ±10%, with ±5% available for advanced requirements (stack-up and test plan subject to engineering review). Test method and report format are confirmed at quotation.

Applicable board types

The board types below most often enter review for automotive projects, separated by thermal path, interconnect density and structural flexibility. Final selection depends on device layout, dissipation and assembly method.

Production examples

The examples below are desensitized: no customer information, exact outline dimensions or full stack-up notation.

  • Automotive / industrial control board

    4L · FR-4 TG135 · 1.6 mm ±10% · 无铅喷锡 / Lead-free HASL · Mid-size (long edge roughly 100–250 mm)

    • Four-layer TG135 build with lead-free HASL, with process control and records organized under the IATF 16949 system.
    • 100% flying-probe electrical test and CNC routing; for this class of board the priority is long-term reliability under temperature cycling rather than pushing process limits.

Production experience

Volume production experience in this sector covers end-product categories including automotive radar, intelligent monitoring systems and DC-AC inverters. Specific project details are covered by non-disclosure agreements and are not published.

Frequently asked questions

Do you hold automotive industry certification?
Yes. The group's Huizhou production base holds IATF 16949 automotive quality management certification, certificate number 120342-2012-AQ-RGC-IATF, with a registered scope covering the quality management system for the automotive electronics supply chain. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are also held. Please state at enquiry if production under that system is required so scheduling can be confirmed.
Can you support PPAP and process audits?
Yes. PPAP submission level, first article inspection (FAI), process capability data and audit support are agreed separately at project kickoff, per the quality plan confirmed in writing. Standard deliverables include a certificate of conformance (COC), material certifications and lot records, impedance test reports, microsection analysis reports and electrical test records.
Which base produces automotive orders?
The IATF 16949 certificate is held by the Huizhou production base, so automotive projects that must run under that system are scheduled there. The group also operates the Ji'an base, certified to ISO 13485:2016 for medical devices (scope: circuit boards for ventilators). Combined monthly capacity across both sites is 160,000 m² (Huizhou 60,000 m²; Ji'an 100,000 m²).

This page describes general engineering considerations for this application area and the board-type capabilities we already hold. It is not a commitment on a specific project. Exact stack-up, material grade, tolerances and acceptance criteria are confirmed through engineering review and in writing.

Routine enquiries are answered within 30 minutes. Once you upload Gerber files and technical requirements, engineering returns manufacturability findings together with the quotation, so design conflicts surface before production rather than after.
